The Edith Rosen Strauss Organization (ERS) was formed in April, 1952 following the death of Edith Rosen Strauss, due to cancer in 1948.
Founded by her mother and twelve of Mrs. Strauss' closest friends, ERS has grown and earned a highly respected reputation as
an effective organization, setting an example for others to emulate in conducting philanthropic activities for Cancer Aid for Children.
Our primary goal is to improve the quality of life for children suffering from cancer.
What we do
ERS has raised nearly $2,500,000 in contributions for Cancer Aid for Children.
To raise such funds, ERS conducts a wide range of activities such as trips, raffles, luncheons, shows, Walk for Kids,
Strike Out Cancer bowling, and an annual Donor Ad Journal. A Gold selling / Pocketbook buying party, eBay
and a yard sale are our new fundraising ventures. All items sold have been generously donated.
ERS attributes its success and wide
community support to the integrity and dedication of its committed membership. ERS has no paid professionals. All officers,
workers and supporters are volunteer. Our volunteers recently visited the Baltimore
Ronald McDonald House, where we provided dinner for the families in residence.
Why you are important
ERS relies solely on friends, the business community, cooperating suppliers and charitable people like you, to provide the funds
and resources to make its programs productive. Without such philanthropic support, ERS could not give the medical support,
comfort, and highly specialized equipment for children with cancer.

Your sense of caring and your benevolence keep ERS effective. Your compassion for children stricken with cancer shows in whatever
you do and whatever you give. It is never forgotten and it is forever appreciated. Edith Rosen Strauss Organization, Inc.
relies on you!
